Professional Highlights
My design career started in 2018 when I pivoted from software engineering. I used to work as a web application developer for about 2 years after I finished school. At the start of 2017, I realised that coding wasn't my forte and took an interest in design. After exploring and self-studying design in general, I decided to pivot my career to user experience design.
I started as an intern at Inspireo, where I work with Xael Tan, Wenting Poh, Junze Zheng and other colleagues whom I get to learn from, and where we work on multiple small to large applications and platforms together. Invade.co, Auto-Website, and Continental Bookstores are notable projects that help me learn about different domains and navigating complexity and constraints in design.
Then Podium was the next thing for me after 3 years at Inspireo. I came on board as a Senior Product Designer, focused on product design, and later on, took the lead on the Podium Design System. I have to work with incredible people like Ansell Chiu, Tyla Lim, and many others. It’s rare opportunity to help shape the next generation of design tools for built environment, engineers, architects, and developers; to build meaningful product in a complex domain alongside people who are sharp, driven, and genuinely great to work with.
